Regional Networks

SEPI’s Regional Networks Mission

The program for the development of SEPI’s Regional Networks aims to establish forums for open discussion and communication on a regular basis concerning Integration among scientists take action in geographically close areas. The knowledge between professionals in the field of mental health who are interested common to Psychotherapy Integration can facilitate the formulation of a common scientific identity, promote conditions of mutual support and cooperation in both clinical and research level.

SEPI’s Regional Networks coordinators provide their services voluntarily, while they are members of SEPI’s Regional Networks Committee, which is convoked at SEPI’s annual conferences.

The Nature of SEPI’s Regional Networks

SEPI’s Regional Networks are usually divided into two types:
First Type: These networks are open to all mental health professionals interested in Psychotherapy Integration. They hold meetings on a regular basis. The coordinators of these Networks create lists with names and professional details of SEPI members. Also, they have the permission to add to these lists other members who are proposed from the existing members.
Second Type: These networks are consisted of groups of colleagues in professional institutes, clinics or academic institutions that already focus their work on Psychotherapy Integration. Some of these groups may represent a particular stream or model of psychotherapy integration.

The Regional Networks have the possibility to get involved in the organization of various actions that their members may be interested to. For example, they organize educational programs, conferences, workshops, case study presentations, group discussions, lectures, professional development seminars, supervision and counseling, collaborative research, etc. Network coordinators keep their members informed of events related to psychotherapy integration, encourage their members to join SEPI, and promote information about SEPI’s annual conference.

SEPI’s Regional Networks function

Regional Networks may establish a formal membership registration process and set the registration fee. However, they can follow less formal procedures such as setting an indicating amount for participation in the various activities they may organize.

Registration to Regional Networks and the participation in organized activities is not limited exclusively to SEPI members. However, Coordinators of the Regional Networks must be SEPI’s official members. It is certainly expected that Coordinators will encourage members from the RN to become members of the official SEPI too. This will give them the advantage to gain important benefits, such as access to the scientific journal of SEPI, named “Journal of Psychotherapy Integration” as well as to The Integrative Therapist Newsletter. Finally, as SEPI’s members, they have a discount to attend SEPI’s Annual Conference, while they may access to SEPI’s Membership or other online resources.
